The new top link sold for a record amount of £140 and was sold to www.margatehandbook.co.uk
The previous top link was been held by www.anthonygrayclocks.com from St. Margaret's Bay in Kent.
It is a fun experiment which allows website owners a cost effective way of promoting their website for as little as £1 once off fee. Their link earns them micro-commission payments and raises money for their selected charity.
It all started with a conversation about how to get to the top of Google and how it was such a mystery. We said "Why don't we create a website where whoever pays the most gets the top spot" and the idea just grew from there.
