Quokkas
are a type of marsupials akin to kangaroos and wallabies. They're very small (video shows a juvenile, but an adult is not much bigger than that) and usually nocturnal.
They are native to a section in Western Australia near Perth where the climate is warm. In this instance, they were found on Rottnest Island, a nature reserve 2km from the Perth coast.
