During these testing times, we all seem to have been constantly bombarded by endless debates about banks and the Fat Cat's pension. Hopefully I will be able to offer some light relief when I tell you about an event that is rather special. As you try to search for happier news, I want you to think of something exciting. The summer. Long warm days, the open road, you have remembered to leave the blackberry behind (thank goodness), the kids have been parked and you have some time to yourself. Where do you go? The choice is endless. If you are prepared to travel, why not go just that little bit further as you seek self endulgence. Try Wales for example. Just imagine, mountains to climb, wonderful gardens to explore, rivers to swim in, gold mines and slate mines to see, leeks and of course the famous daffodils. If you seek a heady mixture of culture, history and a good garden, then why not try exploring Caerynwch garden for a few hours. Located at the southern tip of the Snowdonia National Park and only 20 minutes from the Coast, Caerynwch has plenty to offer including; a stunning display of daffodils in later March early April, a river to paddle in, woodland walks, wonderful Rhododendrons with an amazing range of colours, a local artist displaying his work and of course a fantastic cuppa go with it. The gardens are open on the 29th March, 13th April, 3rd May and 24th May between 11am and 5pm. Children under 16 are free, while Adults pay just £4.00 For further information and directions look up Torrentwalk Cottages on the web at: www.torrentwalkcottages.com
Hopefully this will provide you with all the inspiration you need, if it doesn't then happy searching.
